Bisceglie councilor calls for task force to combat waste fires

Francesco Spina, an opposition city councilor in Bisceglie, has called for the urgent establishment of a task force to address the recurring issue of waste incineration. Spina noted that the systematic burning of waste has been polluting the territory for eight years and poses significant risks to public health and safety.

Spina criticized the local administration for being distracted while citizens face unsustainable conditions. He has offered to lead the proposed task force voluntarily to find a radical solution to the problem, emphasizing that the issue must be resolved to protect current and future generations.
