Bisceglie political crisis as city council meeting fails

The Fratelli d’Italia party in Bisceglie has declared a political and administrative crisis following a city council meeting that failed to take place due to a lack of a quorum. The administration, led by Mayor Angelantonio Angarano, was unable to provide the necessary numbers to hold the session.

Councilor Mimmo Spina and the local party leadership stated that this is not an isolated incident but a sign of a divided majority incapable of governing. They criticized the administration for being preoccupied with internal tensions and fragile balances rather than addressing urban decorum, maintenance, and public services. The empty session was also intended to welcome the new general secretary, Dr. Lozzi, who is the eighth to hold the position in eight years.
