Biscuitville named America's best fast-food breakfast chain

Biscuitville has been named America’s best fast-food breakfast chain for the fourth consecutive year in the 2026 USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Despite operating only 90 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, the family-owned Southern chain outperformed major national competitors, including McDonald’s, which placed fourth, and Chick-fil-A, which placed fifth.

The chain attributes its success to a labor-intensive, scratch-cooking model that avoids microwaves and pre-cooked ingredients. According to Chief Marketing Officer Kristie Mitchell, the menu relies on a three-ingredient family recipe for biscuits that are baked fresh every 15 minutes. While the company has considered expansion into Tennessee and Georgia, it is currently focusing on growth within its existing three-state footprint.
