Bishop Alfonso Raimo to begin ministry in Terni

Bishop Alfonso Raimo is set to begin his pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia on Saturday, October 24. The installation will include a solemn celebration at the Terni Cathedral, attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Italy and San Marino, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra.

Prior to the formal ceremony, Bishop Raimo will visit the Basilica of San Valentino, meet with inmates and prison staff at the Terni correctional facility, and visit medical professionals and patients at the Santa Maria Hospital. Following meetings with civil and military authorities, the liturgical celebration will feature the reading of the appointment bull and the ritual of kissing the cross. The schedule continues on Sunday, October 25, with visits to the co-cathedrals in Narni and Amelia.
