Bishop Augusto Mascagna meets with CISL Toscana Nord in Pistoia

Bishop Augusto Mascagna of Pistoia and Pescia visited the CISL Toscana Nord headquarters in Pistoia to engage in institutional dialogue with union leaders and representatives. The meeting included officials from various sectors, including tax services, the Patronato, and the Pensioners' Federation.

During the visit, union leaders detailed their daily efforts to support workers, retirees, families, and vulnerable individuals through representation and collective bargaining. Bishop Mascagna expressed appreciation for the union's work, noting its alignment with the principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church, specifically regarding the dignity of labor, the centrality of the person, and solidarity.

Both parties expressed a commitment to ongoing collaboration. Future initiatives will focus on addressing transformations in the labor market, tackling new forms of poverty, and supporting vulnerable communities through concrete actions.
