Bishop Bože Radoš baptizes fifth child of Vuković family

Bishop Bože Radoš of Varaždin performed the baptism of Leona Marija Vuković on Sunday, October 25, 2026, during a mass at the Parish of St. Nicholas in Čakovec. Leona Marija is the fifth child of Snježana and Karlo Vuković.

The ceremony was attended by the child's parents, godparents, relatives, and her four older brothers: Fran, Noa, Benjamin, and Izak. Also present were parish vicars Fra Franjo Jesenović and Fra Željko Železnjak, the bishop's secretary Mišel Kovačević, and Mladen Barać, State Secretary of the Ministry of Demography and Migration.

In his homily, Bishop Radoš reflected on the Gospel passage regarding the two greatest commandments: love for God and love for neighbor. He emphasized that true love for God is inseparable from love for humanity, noting that loving is more important than merely following commandments or offering sacrifices. The Bishop described the infant as a gift to both her family and the parish community, framing his presence as a sign of support for families embracing the gift of life.
