Bishop Daniel Obinim and Florence Obinim enter divorce proceedings

Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of the International God’s Way Church, and his wife of over 20 years, gospel musician Florence Obinim, are undergoing divorce proceedings.

Florence Obinim’s legal representative stated that the decision follows allegations of extramarital affairs involving the Bishop. The lawyer noted that the situation became unbearable after women involved in the alleged affairs began publicly ridiculing Florence. Additionally, the lawyer accused the Bishop of airing private marital issues during church services.

During a church service in Tema, Bishop Obinim publicly disclosed what he claims are Florence’s financial and property demands. According to the Bishop, the requests include GH¢20 million, ownership of an apartment complex, a property on Nii Kwei Mensah Street, the Abroso guesthouse, a residence in Barcelona, Spain, and the International God’s Way Church building in Tema. He also alleged she is seeking GH¢10,000 monthly for medical expenses and hospitalization support. These claims have not been independently verified.
