Bishop Giuseppe Giudice issues message for new school year

Monsignor Giuseppe Giudice, Bishop of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno, has issued a message to the school community titled ‘School: a gym for life’ for the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.

In his address, the Bishop urges educators and students to balance daily responsibilities with the capacity to dream. He calls for schools to move beyond bureaucracy and uncertainty to become true laboratories of science, sociality, and conscience.

A central theme of the message is the rejection of violence, which Giudice describes as a ‘bad teacher of our sick days.’ He encourages the school community to focus on listening, respecting others, cultivating intelligence, and growing as citizens through authentic relationships.
