Bishop Gorman rises to No. 1 in national high school football rankings

Bishop Gorman has ascended to the No. 1 spot in the High School Football America 300 national rankings following a 38-28 victory over preseason No. 1 St. John Bosco in Las Vegas. This win marks the third consecutive high-profile victory for Gorman against Bosco.

In the updated rankings, St. John Bosco dropped to No. 4, while St. Thomas Aquinas moved up to No. 2 after a 42-0 shutout of Western. Georgia’s Buford rose to No. 3. Other top-five programs include IMG Academy at No. 5, Santa Margarita at No. 6, Carrollton at No. 7, Corona Centennial at No. 8, Baylor at No. 9, and Mater Dei at No. 10.

Upcoming marquee matchups include DeSoto facing St. Thomas Aquinas and Sierra Canyon taking on Chaminade-Madonna as part of the Broward County National High School Football Showcase.
