Bishop Ioan leads Liturgy and temple renovation in Dragalevtsi

Bishop Ioan, the first vicar of the Sofia Metropolis, presided over a festive Holy Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Temple in the Dragalevtsi district of Sofia on October 25, 2026. The service was conducted with the blessing of Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel.

Following the liturgy, a consecration and renovation of the St. George cemetery temple were performed. The event included participation from various clergy members, including Priest Luka Kitin and Iconographer Ivan Ivanov, and was attended by numerous believers.

During the service, Bishop Ioan delivered a sermon based on the Gospel reading regarding the healing of the demoniac in the region of Gadara. He emphasized the spiritual struggle against passions and sinful habits, noting how material interests can sometimes be prioritized over spiritual values and divine grace.
