Bishop Joseph Strickland launches scripture study and addresses liturgical crisis

Bishop Joseph Strickland has announced a new weekly series titled “The Bishop Teaches,” which focuses on the study of Sacred Scripture. Beginning Sunday, September 13, 2026, the program will be hosted on PillarsOfFaith.net and will start with the Book of Genesis.

In addition to the new study series, Strickland has addressed the ongoing liturgical crisis within the Catholic Church. He argues that bishops bear a responsibility to guard the faith and the liturgy, suggesting that recent changes to Catholic worship over the last 60 years require a return to sacred traditions, such as Gregorian chant and reverence for the Eucharist. He emphasizes that questioning liturgical developments is an act of guardianship rather than rebellion against the papacy.
