Bishop Margaret Wanjiru declares bid for Nairobi Governor

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has officially declared her candidacy for the Nairobi Governor position in the 2027 General Election. Running under the Kenya Moja Movement Party banner, Wanjiru has introduced her campaign platform as ‘Nairobi Mpya’.

Her primary campaign objectives include combating corruption, improving service delivery, and restoring order within the capital. Wanjiru identified several critical areas for reform, specifically focusing on sanitation, waste management, reliable water supply, road infrastructure, and healthcare.

She emphasized that Nairobi’s role as Kenya’s economic hub requires prudent management of public resources and a business-friendly environment to attract investment and create jobs. Wanjiru stated that her decision to run followed extensive consultations with supporters, political allies, and various stakeholders.
