Bishop Milan Stipić visits Glina Prison

Bishop Milan Stipić, acting as the president of the Committee for the Pastoral Care of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, visited the Glina Prison on October 15, 2026.

During the visit, Bishop Stipić met with prison warden Anđelko Nikolić and staff to discuss pastoral care for inmates and existing rehabilitation programs. He presided over a Eucharistic celebration alongside chaplain Vedran Pejak-Pašić, delivering a homily focused on spiritual well-being and the opportunity for personal renewal.

As part of the initiative, the Croatian Bishops' Conference announced plans to provide Holy Scripture to all prisons to support the spiritual renewal and comfort of incarcerated individuals.
