Bishop of Chillán begins pastoral visits in Quirihue

Bishop Andrés Ferrada Moreira of Chillán has commenced a new cycle of pastoral visits to the communities within the Decanato Costa of the Diocese of Chillán. The cycle began in Quirihue with a meeting between the bishop and parish priest Pedro Rodríguez to discuss community life.

During the visit, Monsignor Ferrada met with the parish Economic Council to review administrative reports and the Expanded Parish Council to discuss the synodal process. The discussions focused on community actions to strengthen identity, the results of the synodal path, and initiatives arising from the 2026 Diocesan Assembly. The bishop emphasized that the Christian experience should be a concrete relationship with Jesus Christ that influences daily life.
