Bishop Petar Palić introduces new confirmation preparation model

Bishop Petar Palić has announced a change to the preparation model for the sacrament of confirmation within the Mostar-Duvno and Trebinje-Mrkan dioceses. Starting from the 2026/2027 school year, a new two-year preparation model will be implemented.

A transitional period will occur during the 2026/2027 school year to facilitate the shift. Eighth-grade students will begin the first year of the new program, continuing into the ninth grade during the 2027/2028 school year, with the sacrament to be received in 2028. Ninth-grade students during the 2026/2027 period will follow a modified program that includes essential content from the eighth-grade curriculum to ensure completeness.
