Bishop Samir Mazloum celebrates 62 years of priesthood in Bkerke

Bishop Samir Mazloum celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Church of the Resurrection in the Bkerke patriarchal see to mark 62 years of priestly life, including 30 years of episcopal service. The ceremony was presided over by Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros al-Rahi.

The event was attended by various religious and diplomatic figures, including the Papal Nuncio to Lebanon, Archbishop Paolo Borgia, as well as several bishops, priests, and official representatives. During the service, Father Maroun Mubarak delivered a speech honoring Mazloum’s journey of service and wisdom.

In his address, Bishop Mazloum reflected on his career through the biblical phrase, ‘By the grace of God I am what I am,’ describing his life as a journey sustained by grace. He expressed gratitude to Patriarch al-Rahi, the Papal Nuncio, and former patriarchs Antoine Khreish and Nasrallah Sfeir, as well as his family and colleagues in various church institutions and Caritas.
