Bishops Bay wins Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin Stakes at Monmouth Park

Bishops Bay secured his fifth career graded stakes victory on Saturday, August 15, 2026, winning the $150,000 Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin Stakes at Monmouth Park. The 6-year-old horse, trained by Brad Cox and ridden by jockey Luis Rivera Jr., won by a neck in a close stretch duel against Chunk of Gold.

Running the 1 1/16-mile race in a final time of 1:41.92 on a fast track, Bishops Bay overcame a strong challenge from Chunk of Gold to claim the win. This victory marks his first win of 2026 and brings his lifetime earnings to $2,632,800 with a career record of 17-10-5-0.

Owned by KAS Stables, Bishops Bay previously won several notable races, including the Grade 2 Cigar Mile and the Grade 3 Salvator Mile. He entered this race following a narrow second-place finish in the Salvator Mile earlier this summer.
