Bishops of the Ecclesiastical Province of Seville hold meeting

Bishops from the dioceses within the Ecclesiastical Province of Seville gathered at the Archbishopric of Seville for an ordinary meeting. The session was presided over by the Archbishop of Seville, Monseñor José Ángel Saiz Meneses.

Participants included Monseñor José Rico Pavés, Bishop of Asidonia-Jerez, and bishops from Huelva, Córdoba, the Canary Islands, and San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The meeting addressed various matters concerning the mission and life of the participating dioceses.

Key topics included an evaluation of Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Spain in June and a report from the Bishop of Córdoba regarding the sustainability of diocesan Cáritas organizations. Additionally, the Archbishop of Seville highlighted the recent opening of a night center managed by Cáritas Sevilla.
