Bisignano hosts Eduardo Scarpetta's classic play in historic center

The L’Olmo di Piano association organized a theatrical performance of the 1887 comedy “Miseria e Nobiltà” in the historic center of Bisignano. The production, directed by Samuel Vita, was performed by the Agorà socio-cultural association from Torano Castello.

The play, written by Eduardo Scarpetta, follows two Neapolitan families navigating poverty and social status through a series of comedic misunderstandings. The event aimed to revitalize the historic center through cultural offerings and scenic art. Local officials, including Mayor Francesco Fucile and Parish Priest Don Cesare De Rosis, were present for the opening, which utilized a local square featuring a mural to create an optimized performance space.
