Bistrița hosts International Fashion Island at Turnul Dogarilor

The city of Bistrița is hosting the fifth edition of International Fashion Island, marking the first time this event is being held in Romania. The fashion spectacle is taking place at the historic Turnul Dogarilor.

The event features collections from approximately 30 designers from Romania and abroad. Notable participants include Cătălin Botezatu, who presented three collections characterized by theatricality and visual identity. Other featured designers include ALESS Drăgoiu, Adriana Popescu, Laura Lupu, Claudiu Lungu, Mirela Baicu – VIVIANNE MODE, Elena Caloianu, Simona Șpan, and Castelana Croitoru – Cosette.

Showcased garments include extravagant pieces made from hair, linen, or fur, as well as collections for children, bridal wear, and traditional Romanian motifs reinterpreted for modern fashion. Despite rain, hundreds of spectators attended the opening night. The event is scheduled to continue with further international and domestic designer showcases.
