The Bistrița-Năsăud County Council is implementing a major rehabilitation project for County Road DJ 151, spanning from the Mureș-Bistrița county border to the DN17 Șintereag area. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the North-West Regional Program 2021-2027.

The modernization covers 76.88 km of road and includes the construction of 15.17 km of sidewalks, 10.68 km of bicycle lanes, 7 bridges, 1 viaduct, and 371 culverts. Additional infrastructure features include 28 bus stations, 7 parking areas, 31 pedestrian crossings, and 8 electric vehicle charging stations. The project is divided into three distinct lots to facilitate construction.
