Biswanath police seize over 10 kg of suspected ganja

Police in the Biswanath district of Assam conducted raids at three separate locations as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, resulting in the seizure of over 10 kg of suspected ganja.

The first raid took place at the residence of Safikul Islam in Kumalia, where 1.166 kg of the substance was recovered from a concealed ceiling area, leading to the apprehension of Fulmala Khatun. A second raid at the premises of Kalpana Chamua in Japaubari yielded 3.720 kg of suspected ganja, resulting in her arrest. A third raid at the house of Raju Gowala in Mijika Line No. 3 recovered 5.500 kg. In total, authorities seized 10.386 kg of the suspected narcotic, and legal proceedings are being initiated against the three individuals apprehended.
