Bit Bot Media to publish Knock Off: The Battle for Imagination in 2027

Bit Bot Media has announced it will publish ‘Knock Off: The Battle for Imagination’, a 2D action fighting game developed by Mecanimal Games. The title is scheduled for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in a world inspired by 1980s and 1990s toy culture, the game features action figures that come to life to compete in skill-based combat. The narrative centers on generic, unbranded toys defending their place in the arena against Maximus, a branded action figure. The gameplay includes air combos, EX moves, assists, and super attacks.

Creative Director Frank O’Connor, formerly of the Halo franchise, and Bit Bot Media co-owner Klayton, who is also composing the soundtrack, noted the game’s focus on tactile nostalgia and childhood imagination.
