Bit2Me launches Bit2Shield for crypto asset forensics and seizure

Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me has launched Bit2Shield, a specialized subsidiary dedicated to the seizure, custody, and forensic analysis of digital assets for public institutions and financial entities.

Bit2Shield will provide technical assistance during law enforcement interventions, including wallet data extraction, asset localization, and the production of digitally signed forensic reports for judicial use. The company also offers institutional custody via multi-signature cold wallets and manages the liquidation of seized assets upon court order.

The move formalizes existing cooperation between Bit2Me and international agencies. In 2025, the exchange processed approximately 1.5 million euros in seized digital assets on behalf of Interpol, Europol, and the Spanish national police. To lead these efforts, Bit2Shield has appointed Adrián Maroño, a former member of the Guardia Civil’s Central Operative Unit (UCO), as Director of Investigations.
