BITA develops modular steel frame hotel in Argentine Patagonia
The construction company BITA has developed a 126-unit modular hotel in the Argentine Patagonia using steel frame technology. This project applies an industrial production logic, where modules are manufactured entirely in a factory setting before being transported and assembled at the final site.
This modular approach is particularly effective for regions facing difficult logistics and harsh weather conditions, as it increases construction predictability. The manufacturing process involves sequential workstations covering structure, cladding, installations, thermal insulation, and finishing, with quality control performed at every stage.
To ensure success, the technical team conducted six months of testing to validate finishing alternatives, lifting methods, and transport fixation systems. The project required highly detailed engineering and documentation to ensure that every stage of the serial production was standardized and compatible.
