Bitcoin and Blockchain Revenue Slip Amid Prolonged Crypto Bear Market

Blockchain networks generated just $141.9 million in revenue through July, a 57% drop from the $333.65 million recorded in July 2025 and the second‑weakest monthly total since January 2023. This two‑year low mirrors the 2022 crypto winter, with the sector losing more than $1.13 trillion in market value this year.

Bitcoin has been trading far below its late‑2025 record highs. Analysts note that the price is approaching its 200‑day moving average and that the Relative Strength Index is stabilising after an extended oversold period, suggesting a possible market bottom. Institutional activity remains present, with digital‑asset fund inflows reported in July and futures markets on CME Group continuing to provide price discovery for the cryptocurrency.
