Bitcoin price prediction: Swan CEO expects October bottom
Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten predicts that Bitcoin could reach a market bottom in October before recovering toward approximately $130,000 ahead of the 2028 halving. This projection is based on historical patterns where Bitcoin has typically bottomed roughly 12 months after a bull-market peak, such as the price peak above $126,000 seen in early October 2025.
Klippsten noted that while a recovery is expected, the price could potentially drop to between $53,000 and $57,000 before a rapid rebound. He also highlighted that a record share of supply, roughly 14.7 million BTC, is held by long-term investors, which may influence the timing and nature of this cycle.
Regarding the broader cryptocurrency market, Klippsten stated that altcoins are “basically dead” as competitors to Bitcoin in its role as money. He suggested that centralized crypto businesses and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols will likely eventually be integrated into traditional finance (TradFi) through regulation. He cited Hyperliquid as an example of a business that may eventually be treated similarly to an exchange or a bank.
