Bitcoin price could reach $190,000 under specific gold-ratio conditions

Financial analysts are projecting a potential Bitcoin price surge to approximately $190,000, contingent on specific market conditions. Adam Livingston, Vice President at Strive, suggests this could occur if gold prices reach $4,760 per ounce and the Bitcoin-to-gold ratio recovers to its December 2024 peak of 40.1 ounces. Such a scenario would represent a 51% increase over Bitcoin's previous all-time high.

On-chain data from Glassnode and other providers highlights a divergence in investor performance during recent market volatility. During the June downturn, small-scale investors and mid-tier holders (100–1,000 BTC) largely maintained profitability or avoided deep losses, unlike the 2022 bear market. In contrast, larger 'whale' and 'shark' cohorts saw their average costs temporarily exceeded by market prices before recovering.

Market history also shows seasonal trends, with October having historically seen frequent gains, though recent data indicates fluctuations. While the $190,000 target is a significant outlier, major institutions like Citi maintain more conservative 12-month price targets, such as $113,000.
