Bitcoin faces market volatility amid ETF outflows and economic uncertainty
Bitcoin is experiencing significant market pressure as it enters November, facing several critical technical and macroeconomic tests. The cryptocurrency has lost more than 3.5% since the beginning of October, with key support levels identified at $80,000, $75,000, and potentially as low as $72,000 to $76,000.
Several factors are contributing to this volatility. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a substantial single-session outflow of $635.6 million on October 22, marking the largest daily withdrawal since June. Notable funds affected include BlackRock’s IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC. Additionally, rising fears of Federal Reserve interest rate hikes and surging oil prices—exceeding $117—are increasing inflationary and geopolitical risks.
Market analysts remain divided on the outlook. Some suggest the current movement could be a consolidation phase preceding a rally toward $100,000, citing patterns similar to previous market cycles. Conversely, other analysts warn that bearish control is increasing, noting that two consecutive weekly closes below $83,000 could signal a bull trap, with long-term risks potentially driving prices toward the $60,000 level.
