Bitcoin market analysis suggests supply constraints drive recent price gains

Market analysts are providing differing perspectives on the drivers behind recent Bitcoin price increases. Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, suggests that while the era of 10x parabolic rallies may be over due to a maturing market and increased institutional involvement, a 3x to 5x increase from cyclical bottoms remains a possible scenario.

Simultaneously, an analysis from the platform River indicates that the recent rally has not been driven by a surge in new buyers. Instead, the price increase appears to be a result of reduced supply. River reports that trading volume on exchanges is 30 percent lower than at the start of the year, and 81 percent of all Bitcoin in circulation has not been moved for at least six months. This suggests that long-term holders are retaining their assets, creating upward price pressure despite lower overall demand and trading activity.
