Bitcoin mining faces profit squeeze, prompting rise of AI cloud mining

After Bitcoin’s latest halving reduced block rewards and electricity prices rose across the United States, traditional mining operations are seeing their profit margins shrink. Higher operating costs, faster hardware cycles and intensifying competition have led investors to seek more efficient alternatives. LONG DeFi’s AI‑powered cloud mining platform offers users access to computing power for assets such as BTC, ETH and XRP without buying hardware, using a proprietary AI scheduling system to allocate global resources and lower costs.

A recent power outage in China’s Xinjiang region highlighted the concentration risk of mining in low‑cost power zones. The blackout temporarily reduced global hash power, raised settlement costs and delayed transactions, underscoring concerns about the network’s resilience. Together, these pressures are accelerating the shift toward cloud‑based, AI‑managed mining solutions as a way to improve capital efficiency and sustainability.
