Bitcoin network activity reaches levels seen during 2018 bear market

Bitcoin network activity has recently reached levels comparable to the 2018-2019 bear market. Data indicates that the number of active addresses dropped significantly in July, with the 30-day average hitting lows seen during previous periods of low market interest.

However, recent indicators suggest a potential recovery. While daily active address counts hit lows around 545,233 in early August, both the 30-day and 100-day moving averages have begun to trend upward. This upward movement in network activity coincides with Bitcoin trading above its recent low of $58,535.

Analysts note that low network activity can be a component of market bottoming, though it is not a definitive timing signal. The current trend shows a simultaneous recovery in both price stability and network engagement, which may signal a phase of accumulation or a shift in market momentum.
