Bitcoin price forecasts range from $150,000 to millions
Financial analysts and executives are debating aggressive long-term price targets for Bitcoin, with some projecting values as high as $1 million or more. Michael Saylor, executive chairman of MicroStrategy, has predicted that Bitcoin will compound at approximately 30% annually for the next 20 years, a trajectory that could theoretically lead to prices exceeding $11 million by 2046 if sustained.
Other institutions have offered varying perspectives. ARK Invest has proposed a high-end scenario of $1.5 million per Bitcoin by 2030. In contrast, Bernstein has provided a more measured outlook, targeting $150,000 in the near term while treating the $1 million mark as a long-term directional goal rather than a firm forecast.
To reach a $1 million valuation, analysts suggest Bitcoin would need to capture a significantly larger share of the global store-of-value market, currently estimated at $121 trillion. While proponents point to Bitcoin’s fixed supply and scarcity as drivers for growth, skeptics note that maintaining such high compound annual growth rates would require a continuous and accelerating influx of new capital.
