Bitcoin price targets reach $1.3 million amid shifting capital flows

Financial experts and industry leaders are projecting significant long-term price increases for Bitcoin, driven by shifting capital flows and institutional asset allocation strategies.

Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise, has set a long-term price target of $1.3 million per Bitcoin by 2035. He also suggested that a return to prices above $100,000 is realistic for 2026. Hougan argues that maintaining a zero percent allocation to Bitcoin in a traditional 60/40 portfolio may constitute a misallocation against fiat currencies, as such portfolios are essentially bets on fiat stability.

Separately, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) noted signs of “hot money” flowing from the artificial intelligence sector back into the cryptocurrency market. This shift is supported by research from River, which estimates that Bitcoin could reach as high as $840,000 within the next three to five years if it becomes more widely established in diverse investment portfolios.
