Bitcoin reaches eight-month highs above $85,000

Bitcoin has experienced a significant market recovery, reaching price levels not seen in approximately eight months. The cryptocurrency climbed from summer lows near $58,000 to surpass the $85,000 and $86,000 thresholds, marking its highest value since late January.

This upward trend has been accompanied by increased interest from institutional investors and positive Bitcoin ETF flows. Analysts from VanEck suggest the rally may be driven by an exhaustion of sellers rather than a single news event. Despite the recovery, the asset remains subject to high volatility influenced by U.S. regulatory developments and broader monetary policy.

The cryptocurrency's performance has shown a divergence from traditional assets like gold during recent macroeconomic shifts. While rising U.S. Treasury yields typically impact interest-sensitive assets, Bitcoin has maintained momentum, leading to discussions regarding its decoupling from traditional interest rate sensitivity.
