Bitcoin RSI Divergence Signals Potential Rally to $70,000
A bullish divergence on Bitcoin’s 4‑hour Relative Strength Index (RSI) has appeared for the first time since late last year. The price fell below $60,000, forming a new low, while the RSI stayed higher, a pattern analysts view as weakening selling pressure and a possible buying opportunity.
Macro investor Jordi Visser said traders could consider buying above $60,000 and placing stop‑losses below the recent lows. He warned the price could still dip to $50,000 or $45,000 in the short term, but noted that a Fed decision on July 29 – with a 35‑40% chance of a rate hike – will be a key catalyst. If the Fed holds rates, Visser expects additional momentum that could push Bitcoin toward $70,000, and he even envisions the cryptocurrency surpassing $100,000 within a year.
Visser also highlighted the broader market shift toward AI‑related stocks, which he believes is drawing capital away from crypto. He cautioned that the technical signal alone is insufficient; confirmation from price action, liquidity, and macro factors is needed before a sustained recovery can be confirmed.
