Bitcoin sees significant weekly growth amid US fiscal concerns

Bitcoin has experienced significant price volatility, marking one of its strongest weekly performances in over two years. The asset saw a weekly price spread of $16,850 between its minimum and maximum values. Market movements were driven largely by macroeconomic factors and investor sentiment rather than technical signals.

Speculation regarding MicroStrategy's activities influenced the market after the company did not purchase additional Bitcoin last week. Instead, the firm sold $333.7 million in stock to repurchase STRCs and increase its dollar reserves.

Analysts suggest Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as a hedge against the devaluation of fiat currencies, particularly the US dollar. Concerns regarding US fiscal policy, rising national debt, and the government's efforts to suppress long-term interest rates through bond buybacks have fueled interest in Bitcoin as an asset that cannot be artificially manipulated or inflated by central authorities.
