Bitcoin slides toward $61,000 as market pressure intensifies
Bitcoin’s price fell 3.2% in the past 24 hours, dropping to roughly $62,600 after opening lower on the U.S. stock markets. The decline followed a brief rally earlier in the day when the cryptocurrency traded near $64,300. Analyst Erik Juffermans warned that the break of the upward trend makes a move toward the $60,000‑$61,000 support band likely.
Other major crypto assets showed mixed performance. Ripple rose 0.43% to $1.077, while Ethereum slipped 0.35% to $1,902.51. Litecoin fell 0.12% to $45.36, Bitcoin Cash declined 0.38% to $209.99, and several smaller tokens such as Cardano, Stellar and Tron moved only marginally.
