Bitcoin ETFs see renewed inflows as price steadies near $62,000
Spot Bitcoin exchange‑traded funds recorded fresh net inflows after weeks of outflows, with 21Shares reporting $510 million entered over three days and SoSoValue noting $265.7 million on a single day. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was a key driver, delivering a $209 million inflow after a period of withdrawals. The inflows have helped halt a sharp slide in Bitcoin’s price, which recovered from a July low of $58,000 to trade between $62,000 and $64,000. Institutional activity remains mixed: Strategy sold $216 million worth of Bitcoin, but the market absorbed the sale without a prolonged drop, and large‑holder (whale) accumulation continued, with roughly 270,000 BTC added over two weeks. Analysts note that while on‑chain metrics show classic bottom signals, the resurgence of ETF demand is still weaker than needed for a firm reversal. Overall, the recent ETF inflows are viewed as a tentative signal of returning institutional interest, but the broader market remains cautious amid lingering supply‑side pressures and broader risk‑off sentiment.
