Bitcoin surpasses Tesla in market capitalization

Bitcoin has surpassed Tesla in global asset rankings, reaching a market capitalization of approximately $1.635 trillion. As of September 19, 2026, Bitcoin held the 13th position among the world’s largest assets, leading Tesla by roughly $197 billion. At the time of the ranking, Bitcoin was trading near $81,419, while Tesla’s market cap stood at $1.438 trillion.

In related market activity, several long-term Bitcoin holders moved significant amounts of the cryptocurrency. A wallet created in November 2011 transferred 100 BTC, valued at over $8 million, representing an unrealized gain of over 2.4 million percent from an initial investment of approximately $324. Additionally, four legacy wallets created in early 2013 moved a combined 100 BTC, which was received by Bitgo.
