Bitcoin whales execute large-scale trades and profit-taking

Significant movements by large-scale Bitcoin holders have been observed in recent weeks. Blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain reported that two wallets, potentially controlled by a single trader, closed a long position held for nearly two months. This exit resulted in an estimated $11.6 million profit as Bitcoin's price climbed toward $81,000. This price surge was accompanied by $225 million in short position liquidations occurring within a 10-minute window.

Separately, Galaxy Research identified that six long-dormant Bitcoin wallets, some inactive for over 15 years, moved a combined 553.59 BTC valued at approximately $40.15 million between August 16 and August 26. While most transfers went to unknown addresses, one transaction involving 40 BTC was sent to Boerse Stuttgart Digital, a German crypto custody and trading provider. One specific wallet, inactive since June 2011, transferred 8.54 BTC, representing a massive unrealized gain based on historical acquisition prices.
