Bitcoin whales sell 800 BTC and increase holdings to 7.17 M coins

A Bitcoin whale sold 800 BTC after holding the coins for seven months, realizing a loss of about $35.3 million. The sale adds to recent selling pressure in the cryptocurrency market.

At the same time, wallets holding at least 1,000 BTC have collectively accumulated 7.17 million BTC, representing roughly 35.8% of the total circulating supply. This level of concentration is the highest since mid‑March and reflects a dip‑buying strategy as prices hover around $64,400 following the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates unchanged. The increased holdings suggest that large‑scale investors remain confident in a price recovery and may help curb further selling pressure.

Analysts note that such whale activity can influence short‑term market sentiment, with the recent sale potentially prompting volatility while the accumulation may bolster optimism among investors.
