Bitcoin's record negative premium streak and $216 M sale amid broader crypto market moves

The Bitcoin market showed little directional movement as debates continued over the 21 million coin cap. Zcash co‑founder Eli Ben‑Sasson suggested replacing the fixed supply limit with a 4 % annual inflation ceiling, arguing that lost private keys effectively reduce usable supply.

Strategy sold 3,588 BTC – about $216 million – to fund preferred‑share dividends and bolster cash reserves, a move analysts say could lower financing risk and support price stability. The sale added roughly 17 months of dividend coverage. Meanwhile, the Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index recorded a 50‑day consecutive negative streak, the longest on record, while Tether invested $20 million in the Latin‑American exchange Mercado Bitcoin.

In parallel, Uniswap (UNI/USDT) traded near $3.30, testing a resistance zone between $3.35 and $3.39. Positive funding rates indicated bullish pressure, though a brief dip into negative rates suggested some profit‑taking. Technical indicators showed the price above the 100‑day EMA and the 0.382 Fibonacci level, with the next target around $3.50 if the resistance is broken, or a correction to $3.19 if it fails.
