Bitdeer and Soluna expand Bitcoin mining deployment in Texas

Bitdeer Technologies Group and Soluna Holdings have expanded their partnership to deploy Bitcoin mining equipment at Soluna’s wind-powered Project Kati 1 data center in Willacy County, Texas. Following an initial 28 MW agreement, an amended deal will add an additional 7 MW of capacity, bringing the total deployment to 35 MW. This expansion is expected to reach a total hash rate of approximately 2.42 exahashes per second (EH/s).

The deployment utilizes a co-mining revenue-sharing model rather than a traditional fixed-fee hosting arrangement. Under this structure, Soluna provides the site, power, and turnkey operations, while Bitdeer supplies and owns its proprietary Sealminer A2 Pro Air ASIC mining machines. The companies will share the proceeds generated from the mining activity.

Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW facility connected to the Las Majadas wind farm. The deployment is scheduled to begin in batches, with the expanded capacity expected to be completed by November 2026. Soluna reported that Project Kati 1 achieved its first gross profit in the second quarter of 2026.
