Bitdeer reports surge in Bitcoin production and revenue growth

Bitdeer Technologies Group reported a significant increase in Bitcoin production for the second quarter of 2026, mining 2,694 BTC compared to 565 BTC in the same period the previous year. This nearly fivefold increase was driven by a 389% year-over-year rise in average self-mining hashrate, reaching 69.5 EH/s.

Total revenue for the quarter rose 47% to $228.8 million, exceeding Wall Street expectations. However, the company reported a net loss of $92.3 million, a widening from the $62.9 million loss recorded a year earlier. The increase in net loss is attributed to rising electricity expenses and depreciation costs associated with rapid capacity deployment.

Despite the production surge, Bitdeer’s Bitcoin treasury decreased to 150 BTC, following a decision in February to liquidate 943 BTC for liquidity purposes. Additionally, the company is expanding into AI infrastructure, having signed a 16-year, $4.7 billion agreement to develop AI data centers in Norway.
