Bitfinex Securities raises $50M via tokenized nickel investment

Bitfinex Securities has completed its largest capital raise to date, securing $50 million through the tokenized sale of ALKN tokens for Alkemya Metacore SCSp, a Luxembourg-based investment vehicle. The transaction was conducted under the regulatory framework of El Salvador’s National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD).

The ALKN tokens represent limited partnership interests in Alkemya Metacore. The underlying assets include approximately 7 million meters of high-purity nickel wire, valued at an estimated $1.6 billion, which is held in a high-security facility in Lugano, Switzerland.

Proceeds from the sale will be directed through Alkemya’s subsidiary, Green Transitional Metals, to support the development and commercialization of high-performance nickel products. These products are intended for use in sectors such as aerospace, defense, semiconductors, green hydrogen, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Following the subscription period, the tokens are expected to be available for secondary market trading on a regulated platform.
