Bitget launches daily Bitcoin yield asset with Chainlink as DeFi platforms expand BTC yield options

Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange, upgraded its BGBTC product to offer daily Bitcoin‑denominated rewards, fast large‑volume redemption, and institutional‑grade risk oversight. The upgrade uses Chainlink’s Cross‑Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for secure multi‑chain distribution and incorporates Chainlink Proof of Reserve. A new Curator framework, run by Gauntlet, adds independent oversight of the underlying yield strategies. Bitget’s CEO Gracy Chen said the move aims to make Bitcoin productive while keeping it liquid for trading, margin, lending and other uses.

Separately, GMX, a decentralized perpetual exchange, provides liquidity‑provision tools that let investors earn fees on BTC/USD markets. GMX’s GM markets and GLV vaults let users choose direct exposure to Bitcoin or aggregate exposure across multiple markets. The platform’s design lets BTC holders generate cash‑flow while preserving their position, illustrating broader DeFi trends toward capital‑efficient Bitcoin use.
