Bitget reports 122% reserve ratio and expands Proof of Reserves
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has released its August 2026 Proof of Reserves (PoR) report, revealing a total reserve ratio of 122%. This marks the company’s 45th consecutive monthly disclosure since December 2022. The 122% ratio indicates that on-chain assets tracked in the August snapshot exceeded the corresponding user balances covered in the report.
Bitget has expanded its PoR platform to include 19 different assets, covering major cryptocurrencies and stablecoins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and USDT. The revamped interface allows users to view the reserve ratio for individual assets and visualize asset distribution over public networks using Merkle-tree technology. The update also includes personal asset checks, enabling users to verify if their specific holdings were included in a particular snapshot.
Additionally, Bitget reported on its Protection Fund, which averaged approximately $351 million in July 2026. The fund’s value fluctuated between $329.8 million and $365.9 million during that period, largely due to changes in the market price of Bitcoin, which backs the fund. Bitget stated that the fund has remained above its original $300 million commitment in every month reported since 2022.
