Bitlis Geylani Medrese holds graduation ceremony for 54 students

A graduation ceremony was held at the Geylani Medrese in Yolyazı village, Bitlis, where 54 students received their certificates (icazet). The group included 40 students who completed their Islamic studies and 14 who became Quran memorizers (hafiz).

During the event, Chief Muderris Şeyh Nesrullah Geylani emphasized the spiritual importance of madrasas, stating that the preservation of these institutions is vital for addressing societal moral challenges. Bitlis Mufti Kadir Koçak highlighted the responsibilities facing the graduates, while Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya remarked on the city's historical and spiritual significance through its madrasa culture.
