Bitlis Governor inspects road infrastructure projects

Infrastructure projects are accelerating in the Bitlis province of Turkey, specifically in the Anadere and Kesan Deresi regions, following improvements in local security. Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya inspected ongoing road widening and hot asphalt paving works conducted by the Special Provincial Administration.

In the Kesan Deresi group road, which serves seven villages and ten hamlets, approximately half of the 20-kilometer stretch has been completed. Officials expect to finish the remaining section within one week. This route provides a vital connection between the Hizan district and Van.

Governor Karakaya noted that these areas previously faced significant security challenges due to terrorism. He stated that the stabilization of the region has facilitated increased social and commercial activity, allowing various state institutions to ramp up investments in infrastructure, including drinking water, irrigation, and village roads.
